BN Events was founded in 2015 by Beth Norber; it is a Southern California-based collective that creates, designs and produces live event & meeting experiences. Our tight community of like-minded producers and planners work tirelessly with our clients to deliver solid results on every project.
BNE was borne out of the idea that even though live meeting & events can be hard, the planning process should be as easy as pie (speaking of pie, more on that in Beth’s bio).
We don’t want to give away our age, but we’ve been doing this a long time. Our team is well-versed in event management best practices, and also the latest trends in show production, event technology, entertainment management, event design, food & beverage operations and fundraising & marketing. With events, you want experience. You want someone who's seen it all. We’ve been there, we’ve done that. We've worked on events across the country and around the world. We know what works (and what doesn’t). We bring a fresh approach to each and every client, to each and every event we produce.
We understand meetings, conferences & live events: the constantly-moving targets, the ever-changing schedules, the various personalities, and the exacting expectations from all constituencies involved. No two events are ever the same yet the consistent themes of flexibility, long hours, teamwork and professionalism are always present.
Beth works tirelessly to create the right team for her clients: always articulate, confident, and knowledgable, BNE has an extensive talent roster of event producers and coordinators, production managers, script writers, food & beverage coordinators, show callers and stage managers, technical directors, event designers, video directors, audio/visual experts and geniuses to choose from. Our trusted partners make us look good and in turn, we make our clients look even better.
ABOUT BETH
Beth’s passion for live events began while working in musical theater during high school. She loved working “behind-the-scenes,” wielding a clipboard and a walkie-talkie. You could say that she liked to be in charge.
After graduating magna cum laude from UCLA with a degree in World Arts & Cultures, she started her career with a series of public relations internships at non-profit arts organizations. She loved her time at the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in Washington, DC and honed her chops opening up Walt Disney Concert Hall while with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. She soon transitioned into the special event world with a position at one of Los Angeles’ most respected catering & event production companies. Here, she worked on hundreds of events, from small private dinners to corporate theme parties for over 6000+ guests, with budgets ranging from several thousand to up to $10 million+. Beth then moved on as of the founding employees of a new boutique event production and design firm. As their Vice President, she created work systems, developed the entire staff and led each client project that came through the doors from concept to completion. Events took her to London, Mexico, New York, Florida and beyond. After nearly 5 years, she decided it was time to bring her experience, philosophy and focus to her own clients by starting BN Events.
Beth is known for her ability to successfully manage projects that are on-schedule and always on-budget. An adaptable and focused leader, she can create and execute work plans and motivate teams of people to achieve extraordinary results. Her work ethic, exceptional communication skills, conscientious management style and grace under pressure are what set her apart from other meeting & event professionals. She loves a good challenge and projects that take her out of her comfort zone.
In the odd moments when she’s not working, Beth enjoys reading, lounging at the beach, hiking and spending time with her family. She is a proud baseball mom to her pre-teen son, and an avid Dodgers fan. She keeps herself sane by baking pies (her favorites are avocado, peach, and apple persimmon), a hobby she took up the same year she started BN Events.
